In this thread, all the information you need to know about SD is compiled into an easy to navigate format. We encourage all members to read through this. Please also read The FAQ. Notice:This thread will be updated as needed. User Groups Administrators (updated 12.01.09) (older versions) Administrators are at the top of the food chain at the forums. They have full control over the site. Moderators (updated 12.01.09) (older version) Moderators assist the administrators in running the forums. They watch over topics and keep members in line. Moderators are chosen based on forum conduct and responsibility. Graphics Moderators Graphics moderators help with signatures, icons, banners, backgrounds, and all other board graphic functions. Members (updated 12.01.09) (older versions) The member ranks are executive member (promotion), guru (500+ posts), advanced member (250+ posts), and member (0+ posts). Guests (updated 12.01.09) (older version) Either members who have not signed in or people who have not signed up. Guests may browse the website or post in the Quarantine Zone. Banned (updated 12.01.09) (older version) Former members who have severely broken the rules and were permanently banned from the site. Post Count Ranks In addition to the ranks, there are also member titles that change depending on your post count. 0 Posts: Newbie 10 Posts: Padawan 50 Posts: Apprentice 100 Posts: Active Member 200 Posts: Forum Regular 350 Posts: Forum Addict 650 Posts: Veteran 1000 Posts: Guru 1500 Posts: Virtuoso 2000 Posts: The Czar 3000 Posts: Absolute Being 5000 Posts: Demigod Warning System The warning system is something our staff uses only in dire circumstances if the forums get out of hand. Essentially, members receive warnings when they intentionally break board rules. Members are allotted up to 5 warnings before they risk having their account temporarily suspended or banned. If you want to check your current warning level, just take a look at your profile or one of your posts; if you have zero warnings, it will look like this: If you receive warnings, this bar will update as follows: The staff really don't like giving out warnings, so they'll only be used when absolutely necessary. If it's clear you weren't trying to cause problems, you'll probably just receive a notification through private message from a moderator. If you believe you have been warned unfairly, send a message to one of the administrators. Bulletin Board Codes This section details the use of various BB Codes available on SD. These can be used to format your posts.
