Did you buy Halo Wars?

Considering how hyped-up this game was, it doesn't seem to be all that popular. Personally, I didn't buy it because I'm short on cash and I figure I have enough games to keep me occupied.

I'm curious to see how many people bought it. If you didn't, say why.

Nope. Didn't enjoy the demo at all, so I didn't bother.

It's an alright game. Gameplay wasn't at that bad. amazing graphics for the cut scenes though.
To me, RTS on consoles is like mixing oil and water, IT DOES NOT MIX! however, Halo Wars is not that horrible.

I love RTSs and Ensemble, and I love Halo. I played the demo and found it mildly enjoyable. I bought it and really enjoyed the campaign and its cutscenes are amazing. But its replayability is low and it gets old really fast with its simplicity in tech trees and the like.

To put it into perspective, I still play Age of Empires II nowadays, but I havn't played Halo Wars since 2 weeks after I bought it.
So what, I'm a Star Wars geek?!?

Exactly, and unless they start adding in USB keyboard/mouse support, console RTS's will always be a mess to navigate.

I have to agree here. It's possible to make a playable RPG on a console, but the entire development process tends to be trying to compensate for the lack of a keyboard and mouse.

apparently C&C 3 for PS3, it comes with a keyboard and mouse.

But hell, if you are a halo maniac like me, then go ahead and buy it, otherwise I would advise you to rent the thing.

I played the demo. Cutscenes were awesome, and looked like an entertaining story; I'd buy it if it was a movie. It's not a movie.
Oh yeah, I used to be Johnny 117. In case anyone even remembers me.

Never bought it. For one, I was never a big RTS fan, and I didn't really have the money. I thought about getting it cause I thought it might actually be something new for me, but changed my mind

I never bought it. It seemed like DoW2 or CoH but the Demo was more boring then DoW2 or CoH.

I'm not a huge fan of RTS games (with the exception of Starcraft and Warcraft III), however the demo was kid of fun, getting to watch the little warthogs own the covenant, but man it didn't just feel like I'd get my money's worth.

Not gona lie- I thought it was amazing when it first came out and ate up the Storyline content like hot waffles. Buuuut eventually the multiplayer got repetative with the 6 CO's and limited strategy - especially when there's a rush strategy thats a guaranteed win everytime...
